EXPLORING LA UNION

I spent my summer vacation in La Union and I wanted to explore more of what the province has to offer, and not to mention I prefer arranging legal documents in La Union rather than in Manila because they are more organized and less hassle.

Anyway, let me introduce to you some of the giddy good places that I explored in the province where I was born.

Our house was situated near a beach and there are a lot of motor boats around, that offers a ride throughout the islands. unfortunately, I wasn't able to try it with the given time. It is very relaxing to walk by the seashore, and collect shells.

And somewhere in Poro Point La Union, I was able to take a snapshot of an old jeepney? I am really not sure if it's a jeepney or a bus, but the shot basically looks stunning right?

and when you go further along Bauang, La Union, you'll be able to find  Seabay resort and enjoy this kind of view.

Despite of the summer crowd luckily, I was still able to capture the sunset.

Moving over to Bacnotan, La Union, here we could find a floating restaurant along the Baroro River. Pretty much amazing that they serve the most fresh of fresh seafoods and the experience of eating while floating along the river is really awesome.

The owner of the restaurant, also has a pond in here..
and I am really much amazed with this number of fishes swimming together.
I wonder if they were also the same fishes being served for lunch.

After waiting for the restaurant's staff to be able to catch some fish, here it goes..
This is basically what we ate for lunch.

And, I actually had my new favorite viand. The people in La Union call it "campiz"

And when it comes to dessert and cold choices... well, the search is over. La Union also has a restaurant wherein they offer the best halo halo.

Halo Halo de Iloko became one of the popular attractions of the town. The restaurant is not that big but they were able to accommodate clients/customers and tourists and managed to keep them coming back because of their one of a kind halo halo.

Enough of the foods and more of the places in La Union.
I'm one of those who were fond of catching sunsets, yeah! catching sunsets! And La Union is one of the perfect places to watch the sunset.

I was just right in time when I was able to reach Casai. well, they call it Casai and I have no idea what does it mean. The ambiance here is so "wow" and as you can see, there were no other people at the shore, it was definitely the perfect time to think and gather thoughts.

or I must say "the perfect soul-searching place"
by the way, I just wanted to give idea for those who were looking for a good place to shoot, may it be for a birthday, prenuptial or marketing event. This could also be an ideal choice.

and talking about the almost perfect sunset, well, I hope this counts.

And if you want to experience Santorini, La Union is definitely one of the best places.
Thunderbird is a Santorini inspired resort situated along Poro Point, La Union. In addition, the people here were accommodating and friendly.

So, I have in here another catching sunset moment and I just love the view and everything blue!

Let's take a closer look of the setting sun under the Santorini ambiance

In lieu with my  La Union vacation is our bonding activity every afternoon, target shooting session with my cousins. My firing sessions is definitely not bad. I'm good at shooting targets.

and this is our latest hang out place.

Well, my target shooting session in La Union basically looks like this:

We have in here, 3 main target boards made up of 3 centers, we also have in here another target stand made up of metal with 7 target centers. Quite challenging right?!

And look what I got in here,

yeah! not good enough but not that bad right?

Another emerging tourist spot in La Union is the Bahay na Bato situated at Luna.
this is how it goes on our way to Luna, La Union

and Luna is definitely one of the best places to visit if you want a glimpse of fresh air.

Moreover, I wont let the day end without having the almost perfect sunset shot

and here goes the "i felt the earth move under my feet" shot from Luna

Another place, where I practice my driving skills is somewhere near Poro Point and Wallas, they were quite strict in terms of security but the place is very amusing and serene. And by the way, I just love how the light house looks like during sunsets.

well, that's for now guys! i'll definitely update this blog for more La Union explorations next vacation. You might as well want to try the above mentioned places.

By the way, La Union is famous for being a surfing spot in the Philippines, and I haven't tried it yet. I will, maybe next vacation but you might want to try it first somewhere in San Juan, La Union wherein there is a long stretch of resorts that offer surfing in cheap prices.
